May 2015

Good heavens, we have had a BIG month!  We went back to MS for Wilkes' Sip and See and Elsie Lee's 1st Birthday AND then we went to Indy for the Indy 500.  Oh what fun!

SG wore her tie-dye shirt for Twilight which is a bike race and music fest downtown.

We celebrated Harry Hood's first birthday.  Hooray for all of our sweet friends...who's mothers' dress them all in smocked outfits.

We had another sonogram to see Baby Moore #2.  Hello little tiny baby head and arm and leg buds.
When Mama is pregnant and not feeling well SG gets to take baby sips of Coke Icee.

This month ended our Fantastic Friday adventures at Bishop Park.  SG has LOVED running around and trying out all of the different toys and pieces of gym equipment.
We had a few playdates this month and started going to the Saturday Farmer's Market at Bishop Park.  SG really likes walking around and meeting people and dancing to the music.

Sweet Daddy snuggles
This month we celebrated Mother's Day which happened to coincide with Teacher Appreciation Week.  I told Kyle that I thought we should start celebrating each other for the whole week of Mother/Father's Day and that since I was SG's teacher he should recognize TA week too.  This was the loot I received.  The card read something to the effect of, "Thank you for teaching our daughter to be a good person just like her Momma...enjoy some M&Ms...then get to cleaning...Love Kyle"
Suzanna Grace decided that she likes sitting on the bottom step and playing with/collecting/tasting the rocks, leaves, and sticks around her.

Later in the month, we celebrated Giles Talley's 1st birthday party.  SG and the other kids enjoyed playing in the blow up pool, baby slip and slide, and bounce house.  She also double fisted dumb-dumb suckers the whole time and stole kisses from Giles and Tullis.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Athens Church and then ate lunch with the Hood's at the Country Club.  I always (for the past two years) ask Kyle that we go to church on MD because I know I'll be recognize there...haha.

Jeannie and "babIE" Harry Hood

Suzanna Grace and I made our first car trip to Madison by ourselves.  If newly pregnant, all day sickness isn't bad enough, being in the car for 8+ hours sure doesn't help...BUT we made it!  Suzanna Grace went to spend some time with JJ while MaMa, MA, and Wilkes ran errands and had lunch.  JJ kept us all updated on all of she and SGs adventures.  SuSu came with me to

While we were in Madison, Elsie Lee turned ONE and we were able to help plan her party and celebrate with her!

Suzanna Grace Update:
SG is a BUSY girl.  She is on the go from 6:30/7am to 7/7:30pm every day.  (On the weekends she stays up a little later.)  SG still takes two naps a day 9 and 1 and each are anywhere from 1-2 hours.  This month we started going to the pool and she LOVES the water.  She walks around the baby pool and plays with her bucket and toys.  She really loves all of the friends that she is making and plays with them not just along side them.  Older kids are really drawn to her too and in addition to her 7 year old boyfriend, Hudson (one of her music class friend's older brothers) she has a pretty solid following of big girls that like to take her under their wing to play with.  Suzanna Grace is one sassy and independent lady.  She will let you know when things aren't going her way by grunting and pointing.  She also plays for long periods of time by herself when it's just us at home.  We go outside and she pushes her cozy coop, rides her firetruck, and even goes down the slide by herself.  Towards the end of this month she mastered going up and down the stairs by herself (though I still walk close by.)  She enjoys sitting on the bottom step and playing with sticks and rocks.  In our front yard we have big rocks/boulder type things mixed in with the plants and SG enjoys sitting on them while she plays in the dirt and smells the flowers.  She also "backs it up" and sits in your lap for a quick snuggle.  Though she is still a tiny peanut, probably not even 20lb yet, she eats all day long.  For breakfast she usually has a waffle AND an egg plus fruit, lunch and supper are usually a meat/pasta and veggies.  Some of Suzanna Grace's favorites are mandarin oranges, string cheese, raisins, and pirates booty.  In the afternoons we eat a popsicle on the front steps while we wait for daddy to come home.  You have the blondest hair and it curls at the ends.  Your blue eyes are the color of the sky and strangers often comment on how beautiful they are.  Your smile is contagieous

April 2015

Suzanna Grace Fun Facts:

Suzanna Grace is on the go ALL the time!  She doesn't just walk...she RUNS!!  She is in to everything and loves to explore.  She has two teeth on the bottom but 3-4 are starting to peek through on the top.  For the most part she has been as healthy as can be and we have only visited the DR for her 1 year check up.  This month, we left SG with SUSU and Daddy B and went on our first trip alone since she was born.  We missed her terribly BUT had a great time and know that she did too. SG is completely weened after our CALI trip for the Burke wedding and while I was prepared to go back to morning and nights when I returned, she wasn't interested.  Suzanna Grace can say: uh oh, Dada, BaBie, MaMa, dat (that) and knows how to bark like a puppy.  Kyle taught her how to say "please" which is really just her making a sound and bowing her head down.  She LOVES to eat any and everything and would eat ALL day long if I let her.  Between her all day movements and a superb digestive system she is still a skinny minny.  I would imagine that she is still less than 20 lb.  When we ride in the car she MUST watch Frozen or else she screams.  I have never actually seen the movie but I know every. single. word. We have a FULL schedule and an activity everyday.  We go to the library on M and T to listen to stories, make crafts, and play with our friends.  You especially love the lawn mower and kissing the other babies.  On Wednesday we go to a playgroup at ReBlossom where you and our friend Sienna like to share snacks.  Thursday is our music class day and girl let me tell you...you are such a politician.  We are usually late per your nap schedule, you walk (straight into the middle of the group) in say hello to everyone and kiss a few friends, get lots of complements from your friends mommies, and then you walk back towards the door and spend the whole time digging snacks out of my purse.  I told Dada that all the other babies and their moms are like having a moment and singing together while I feel like I am at the class singing alone.  HAHA.  You know all the songs though and when we listen to them at home you do the "shhhhh, shhhhh" motion for one of the songs. On Friday we go to gymnastics at Bishop park.  We walk in and you make a b-line for the bleachers because, you know...we don't have stairs at home.  You also like to jump on the trampolines and ride the push cars down the mats.  Suzanna Grace you are really just the most fun/funny little girl.  I tell your Daddy every night that I feel bad for other parents who don't have a Suzanna Grace.  I genuinely enjoy hanging out and watching you...being with you is my favorite thing to do.

Playing Catch-Up...Where have the months gone??

Yikes!  Its be a LOOOONNNNGGGG time since I posed any blog updates.  SORRY!  Needless to say, I had some catching up to do on SG's blog book PLUS I'm pregnant and mothering a toddler...so my priorities have not been with ye' ole blog.  As I look back though all of the posts that I did about SG's life though, I am reminded of how quickly their little lives (and ours for that matter) fly by and I want to do a better job of documenting our family.  Lord knows I have 100000000 pictures and videos on my phone but this blog has always been a place for me to organize, share, and reflect on all that we have had going on in our lives.  One of my favorite things to do when I go to my parents' house is to watch home videos and look through pictures and I look forward to my girls (and maybe one day boy/s) doing the same with these blog books.

So, please bear with me...I have a lot to catch up on.  Some of the events may be a little out of order and have the wrong time stamp, but (I have to type this because I am a little OCD when it comes to stuff like this...) it will be okay.

Here's to a fabulous summer, fall, winter, and pregnancy in 2015!
