Suzanna Grace had her 18M well check up and took some notes while we waited for Dr. Baker.
John, Meg, and Charlotte Carlstedt (plus Toes) came to visit for the Bama game. SG had a blast playing with, and feeding, her sweet BABY friend. Charlotte reminds me so much of our sweet girl with her always happy and smiling personality. It poured down raining all Saturday but that didn't stop us from hanging out at the Templin's and then the tailgate...it the rain...in our rain gear.
We had many playdates with month, including one with some of the Landmark babies over at the Templins. It's always fun when we attempt group pictures.
We played and played and played outside this month since the weather was so nice. Whether we played outside at our house or at Memorial Park, I was reminded of how nice a southern fall can be.
We FINALLY tried ADD Drug and each enjoyed a yummy milk shake. You LOVED getting to sit at the counter and drink your own shake. I love those little crossed ankles.
We discovered RUSH trampoline place this month and have gone every single Friday for Toddler Time. Daddy jumped with you the first time we went and you BOTH had a blast. You like to slide down the ramps in the doge ball court and run and run. Your little jumps are too funny as they are mostly just your arms flying in the air, BUT you are starting to get some air under your feet. Everytime we go you get more and more brave and jump from higher spots. There is even a foam pit that you have started jumping in. You are good to play hard for about 45-50 minutes and then you grab my hand and say, "bye-bye" because you are worn out and ready to go!
Suzanna Grace has been helping MaMa get ready for Baby Sissy by attending DRs appointments, giving leg massages, and scrubbing stains and dirt from her old car seat and stroller. At the end of all of her hard work, she likes to be rewarded with a nice big bowl of ice cream. Daddy says she needs a bigger spoon. HA!
SuSu, Aunt MA, and Wilkes came to visit in the middle of the month and enjoyed a weekend full of activities. Aside from hanging the CJM valence in Carolina James' room, we really didn't have any jobs to do which was nice since this was the last weekend that we would be able to spend together just playing before baby sissy is born. SuSu always likes to go with us to Fantastic Friday to watch SG explore and show off her gymnastics skills. UGA had their Homecoming the same weekend so we were able to attend the HC parade downtown and tailgate for a bit. We thought that SG might ride in the wagon to the tailgate since Wilkes was also riding, but of course she wanted nothing to do with it. She ended up being carried, walking, or pushing the wagon for about 2 miles both ways. Needless to say, this 8M preggo mom wished she had worn more comfortable shoes. SuSu ended up making a pit stop with SG while MaMa, Aunt MA, and Wilkes power walked to get the car and picked them up.
Mama got very crafty this month and became the queen on salt dough crafts. We have pumpkins and turkeys for days. Good thing we have lots of folks who love our girl and her crafts. Unfortunately, I "stored" crafts round #2 in the oven so that I could clean the kitchen and completely forgot. I then preheated the oven to 450 and went downstairs to do some chores. I came back to smoke billowing out of the oven and all of the crafts burnt to a crisp...and stinky. It took 3 days to get the smell out of the kitchen. We will do round #3 and next time I will package the crafts immediately. HA.
Jeannie and Harry Hood invited us to come check out the pumpkin patch down the street. They had rows and rows of pumpkins and SG loved walking up and down to find the biggest ones...which she then attempted to pick up. She loves that ole Harry Hood and, even though he gets shy, he loves her too. They like to show off their findings to each other and share snacks (rather SG likes to take Harry's and luckily his mom always has extras).
Suzanna Grace has become interested in my make up in the recent weeks and likes to "dip-dip" my brushes into the make up before applying it on her face. I was trying to let her put the mascara back in the tube and before I could stop her she put it all over her lips. I do not even wear lipstick so I am not sure why she thought to smear it on her lips but she certainly did and was not pleased with me for giggling at her and taking it away.
We went to several Fall Festivals including one at the Country Club. SG sat through her first tattoo, a happy pumpkin, and was so proud to show it off. A week later she got a glow in the dark "boo" tat and between the two she made sure that everyone she met during the month of October saw her tattoos. SG was super into the candy aspect of trick-or-treating but didn't care so much about the games, hayride, or anything else for that matter.
I finally ordered the Blog book that includes all of my posts and pictures from my pregnancy with SG and her first year. It's over 360 pages. I am sorry Carolina James' yours in about 25 pages. SG also got her first school pictures taken. Who knows how they got her to sit like that AND take two pictures?!?! It's more than I can get.
SG continues to enjoy music. She has learned the motions to "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and uses those signals to tell all of her stories. When she isn't leaving me alone in the circle to participate by myself (while she runs around chasing the boys, standing by the door and looking outside, climbing to the highest points of every surface, or begging for a snack) she does do a good job of marching around and mimicking Ms. Cathy especially if it's a familiar song. We LOVE music class!
Little Miss Sweet-Tooth likes to listen to records in the afternoon while enjoying her snack. When it's rainy or wet outside she sits by the back doors and looks outside while she eats/dances. Lee, Charlie, and Harry Hood came over for a crafting party and to play. We always attempt a group picture but we very rarely succeed.
You have figured out how to move your bed around your room so that you can reach your pacis when they get stuck in the corners or on the other side. Sometimes I come into the room to find you holding all 3 pacis and putting your crib back on the wall. You also like to go into Baby Sissy's room. You can crawl into her bed and like for me to lay you in the bassinet and say, "nite-nite baby." You pretend to go to sleep. You sit in her pod and like to watch the sheep mobile go around and play music. You usually ask to wear her bows too. Sometimes you like to wear them all...
Suzanna Grace and I have introduced tons of our friends to RUSH and it has kind of become our new Friday activity. Of course, we like to then go out to lunch with Harry Hood and his Momma.
Oh how Suzanna Grace loves gymnastics and oh how I LOVE her gym outfit. Though her hair is still a little too short, we did attempt to pull off a ponytail with the bow. She looked like she was 3! At the end of class all the kids go put their hand in with a coach but until this week, SG was always a little timid and either wouldn't go up at all or always stood on the outside so that she could still touch me BUT she has gotten so brave. She jumped right in the middle, listened closely to the coach, and did the cheer with her friends. Go SG!!
Instead of wearing their costumes to school, SG's class wore their PJs. Her grannie PJS are my favorite so of course thats what she wore. Later that day, MaMa was on a mission to get Big and Little Sissy gifts packaged and wrapped so SG was charged with making the gift cards. She drew a beautiful picture with her new markers and then promptly ran over to the side of the dining room and colored all over the floor. Before I could get on to her, she was saying, "no no" and wiping it up with a towel. Lord help me.
SG usually gets up anywhere between 6:15-7 but on mornings when she wakes up closer to 6, we let her come snuggle in bed with us. She usually snuggles for 10-15 minutes, then needs some water, then wants to play games/watch a movie on my phone, and then wants to read one of her book on my night table. By this point we usually just get out of bed. She will lay her head on Dada's chest and play with his chest hair and chin stubble. Kyle says that this is a sure way to scar your daughter later in life but I assure him that it's not inappropriate when your 19M old. 19 years, yes.
Boo at the Zoo fun! SG got lots of candy but never finished any of it. As soon as she received a new piece, she was done with the old and ready to sample the new. The zoo was more for baby watching than anything and she loved yelling "BABY!!" and pointing at every one she saw.
The Talley's hosted a Boo Florida Halloween tailgate at their house for everyone to watch the UGA vs Florida game and then go trick-or-Treating. SG had a ball playing with her friends and we, again, attempted a kids picture.
When we got home, we sat around and took family selfies. We are at the 5 week countdown until we meet Baby Sissy, Carolina James, and are trying to cherish every second that we have with our big sissy as an only child. She is truly the sweetest girl in the world and loves to give Dada, MaMa, AND baby Sissy kisses. We cannot wait to watch her with CJ.

-Just this month you have become so talkative and independent. You talk ALL the time and repeat everything that we say. You can look at pictures and identify what you see like: ball, cup, puppy, kitty cat, hat, duck-duck and apple. You have a book with a picture of a girl and boy and you say "Dada" when you point to the boy and either Mama or me when you point to the girl. You also say please (see) and thank you. You continue to say baby and sissy all day too. You constantly ask about "Dada??" You look at the pictures above the couch and point out Dada, Mama, and then yourself...which you identify as "bow!"
-You love going into baby sissy's room and crawling into her beds. HAHA! You can almost crawl in yourself and many times go in without me and bring back items from her room. We are getting a lock soon.
-You continue to be one of the sweetest, most independent, and friendly girls we know. You speak to everyone you come into contact with and make them grin ear to ear. You love going to school at MMO and at the Y when MaMa works out. Ms. Carol at MMO shares her 12 o'clock snack of M&Ms with you most days.
