Suzanna Grace is turning ONE, and she'd like to invite you over for some FUN!
Wear a bow around your neck or in your hair; Bring your Easter basket for lots of eggs to hunt and share!
We hosted Suzanna Grace's 1st birthday on Saturday, March 28 at our new home in Athens, GA. The whole Ray family (minus Uncle Duff) came along with the Ellis' and JJ. We had so much fun packing everyone into the house and were so grateful to finally have so much room!
Thank you Lord for such a sweet sharing girl.
Aunt MA and Wilkes Ellis came in earlier in the week to help with food and decor. We made everything and the end result was perfection!
The dessert and party favor buffet:
We made a banner that had a picture of SG for each month of her first year and bunnies.
The main food table (this dining table and suit belonged to JJ and to her mother, Sissy, before her):
Backyard set up:

On the day of your birthday you decided that you would totally give u crawling and that you would be a walker runner! You loved your balloons!
SuSu and Daddy B gave you a cozy coop and you got in and out of it 100Xs.
SG meeting the Easter Bunny for the first time. Our HS babysitter, Maddie, convinced her boyfriend to dress up (for $20 might I add...) in the costume. It had to have been no less than 100 degrees inside, he could not see at all, and he's a 16 year old kid being forced to hold babies. Oh young love...
Aunt MA loves her girl!
JJ, Daddy, and SG before all of the guests arrived.
Silly cousins trying to have their picture taken. SG 1year, EL 10M, Wilkes 6 (ish) weeks.
SG's girlfriend Bailey.
We hosted lots of friends for the party: Sidney and Everett D., Sam and William M, Hudson D., Harry H., Bailey T., Britten W., Tucker and Campbell, EL, Wilkes, and Tullis and Giles T. Thank you Lord for good friends in Athens.
JJ walked up and down, up and down those steps with SG and any other child at the party who was interested. She also led a nature walk, pulled kids in the wagon, and made a turkey sandwich. HAHA! And yes, SG is eating a banana laughy-taffy. Thanks JJ.
And why end there? Suckers anyone?? SG loved opening gifts too!
The lady at the Kroger bakery gave SG a frosting filled cookie for her birthday. She put it in a plastic container and once SG found it she ran around the house mashing it on the floor until it popped open and the cookie came out. She then proceeded to get frosting ALL over herself and the house. She had a morning bath afterwards.
SuSu and EL, MA and Wilkes, Angie and SG
EL, enjoying an Easter egg, and her Mommy.
How many kids are chewing candy in this picture? Thanks DadaB for supervising.
Mommy and Aunt MA worked VERY hard on the Pinterest inspired birthday cake. We can agree that it was a success! SG used her dainty little fingers to pick off pieces of the frosting.
Dada B and EL
After so many failed attempts the kids were over it...the poor bunny was over it too.
Uncle Timmy flew in from Memphis for the party. Dada B went to pick him up, got lost, drove 15 miles under the speed limit, and got passed by the Rob Ray family on their way to Athens. HAHA!
EL LOVED baby Wilkes!
JJ gave SG a slide for her birthday and she could not love it more!
Pure joy!
Tullis was ready to catch you!
Oh goodness!
And just for kicks and giggles...our babysitter brought the costume over a few nights early and I clearly had to try it on...scary.
