Moore-Ray-Ellis Easter 2014 in Chicago

Three weeks after SG was born, we celebrated Easter in Chicago with the whole Ray family plus the Ellis'.  We rented a townhouse in Lincoln Park/Old Town and everyone enjoyed bunking up there instead of in our tiny condo.  Angie's mother, sister, and brother came to Chicago from WI on Saturday night to meet everyone too.

Aunt MA and Uncle Timmy arrived before everyone on Friday morning.

Mommy left SG with Daddy and the Ray men while she ran to the grocery with SuSu and Aunt MA.  This was Mommy's first time to leave SG and Daddy's first time to have her all alone.  I came home to what can only be described as a disaster zone where Daddy had changed SG's diaper.

Uncle Duff flew in that night to meet his first niece, Miss Suzanna Grace.  He was an old pro when it came to holding this sweet girl.

Saturday:

Daddy went out bright and early Saturday morning to find a Blackhawks jersey for you to wear so that y'all could match.

We spent some time at the Ray condo and then walked around Southport and dropped Daddy off to watch the game with Epstein and the rest of the crew.

Uncle Rob and the Blackburn WI crew arrived Saturday night for a BBQ.  This was the first time for us to meet Angie's family and for she and Rob to meet SG.  Contrary  to the second picture, Uncle Rob really was a pro at baby girls...good thing too because he's having one in a month or two.

Extended family from WI, IL, TN, and MS.

Sunday:

Suzanna Grace's first time at church (Park Community Church).  Thank you God for sending your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and save us from our sins.  We praise you for He is RISEN indeed!
SG wore the gown that SuSu made for her to wear home from the hospital and also wore here bonnet...which she did not wear home : /

Suzanna Grace was one cool chick in her sunglasses and bunny ears.  She got lots of fun treats in her Easter basket including a bunny book from JJ and a book from DadaB and SuSu that has recordings of their voice reading the story.  What treasures!

Monday:

Everyone started heading home on Monday but not after coming over to spend some time with SG.  SuSu got Suzanna Grace to smile (on purpose) for the first time and it was a beautiful sight.

Aunt MA and Uncle Timmy stayed for the afternoon and took us to lunch at Southport Grocery.  Everyone in the restaurant stopped by to see SG and to say how sweet she was.

We had the best time celebrating Easter with the Ray and Ellis families and loved getting to meet the Blackburns too.  What blessings with have in our families.
